Finished!
Folks,
we did it. In eight hours (excluding an half-hour lunch break), we conceived, created and promoted a full-fledged golf hypnosis product. What started out as a freakish idea has become a reality in less than a full working day.
Thank you for being with us today. Of course, you may buy the CD now at www.perfect-putting-hypnosis.com!
Soon, we will continue promoting our product, so stay...

Marketing copy nearly finished, product images ready, still working on final product. Estimated launch time: April 6 at 6 pm!
Cover art is finished!
The cover art for CD production is finished, and this was the first time I deviated from out low-budget plan. I used Photoshop CS4 (on a Mac) for the CD mock-up and InDesign for the CD cover art. I use those applications nearly every day, so I’m more proficient with them than with free alternatives. If you prefer free or low-budget software, you might have a look at Pixelmator or The GIMP for...
Six hours later …
Six hours after we started, it’s time for a quick re-cap. At this moment, we have:
A professionally written and edited double induction self hypnosis script to assist golfers to effortlessly gain relaxed focus when putting
ready-to-print cover art for the CD
audio tracks for left & right ear (Niels recorded the left ear track in London, I recorded the right ear track in Hamburg)
Niels is...
Deciding on an ecommerce partner
You don’t need a full-fledged ecommerce solution to sell one product. (For my clients and their large ecommerce sites, I’ve fallen in love with Drupal+Ubercart and Magento hosted on Linode, but even Linode’s lean & mean machines would be too much for our current one-day project.)
For hosting and selling our golf hypnosis CD, we evaluated a couple of providers and settled on Payloadz for...
Hypnosis script ready, starting recording
Niels just finished writing the hypnosis script and is now going to record the left ear track, while I’m preparing to record the right ear track. (Using a BlueMic Yeti, by the way, a low-budget high-quality mic.)
In the meantime, I finished the CD cover and inlay artwork. When recording is done, we will start writing the marketing copy, so stay tuned!
Checking your budget when launching a product
When we set out to launch & market our product on one day, we wanted to keep our budget as low as possible. Until now (10.30 am), we spent a whopping zero Euros by exclusively using free services
tumblr.com for all blogging needs
Piwik for web analytics and conversion tracking
Skype for intra-project communication
Facebook, Twitter, ping.fm and assorted tools (Tweetdeck &c.) for...
Rapid Product Generation: A preliminary note
Good morning! We’ve entered the office at 8 a.m. this morning and set out to show you how create a full-fledged CD product and jump-start its online marketing campaign. Make sure you also read Niels’ updates on his tumblelog.
At the end of the day, we plan to have:
a finished, publishable product
full marketing copy
full online marketing collateral (web site, promo video, etc.)
a method for...
Proof of Concept in Rapid Product Generation &...
On April 6, 2010 we’ll make an attempt at creating and marketing a full-fledged product in a single day. The product generation process will be live-blogged right here, so grab the RSS feed or follow us at Twitter if you’re into rapid product generation, online marketing, or golf.
See you next Tuesday!
